KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Doctors at the TU Teaching Hospital are currently staging a protest by suspending all non-emergency services including OPD (Outpatient Department) services today.
Nepal Medical Association has halted all non-emergency services at healthcare institutions nationwide, citing concerns for their safety and demanding action against the perpetrators involved in the Hetauda incident.

Rajesh Pradhan from Hetauda-12, who was suffering from dengue, died on August 10. Over the death, the relatives of the victim attacked Dr Bikash Thapa and Dr Prashant Bidari Sancho Hospital in Hetauda on September 13, over a month later. The Association has launched protests and called for action against those responsible for the Hetauda incident.
Unfortunately, this suspension of services, excluding emergency ones, has inconvenienced patients.
The government has also formed a negotiation team to hold talks with the protesting Nepal Medical Association.
