DPM Khadka directs to start construction of houses for earthquake survivors

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has instructed the concerned agencies to immediately start construction of temporary housing for the earthquake survivors.

KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka has instructed the concerned agencies to immediately start construction of temporary housing for the earthquake survivors.


Deputy Prime Minister Khadka said that the first installment of grant assistance given by the government for the construction of temporary housing has reached the survivors and hence the structures destroyed due to the earthquake should be removed and construction of temporary housing should start immediately.

In a discussion with the Ministers of the Karnali Provincial Government and the Head of Security Agencies in Surkhet today, he shared that there is no shortage of resources in post-earthquake reconstruction.


The Deputy Prime Minister also shared that preparations are being made by the federal government to build temporary and permanent structures for schools, health institutions and other public structures damaged in the earthquake.
