DV 2018 program to open from Tuesday

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The US Department of State is all set to call for application for the 2018 Diversity Visa (DV) program from October 4.

KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The US Department of State is all set to call for application for the 2018 Diversity Visa (DV) program from October 4.


 The DV program will open at 9:45 pm on October 4 and close at 10:45 pm on November 7.


“We strongly encourage DV program entrants to apply early,” the US Department of State said in a statement issued today.

US DV aspirants must use the electronic DV entry form (E-DV) at www.dvlottery.state.gov during the registration period.


While registering, the applicants must enlist their spouse and all of their unmarried children under the age of 21 at the time of application. Submission without the inclusion of family members will make the application invalid. 


An applicant must submit only one application along with a recent photo. Those who submit more than one application will be disqualified.


 The applicants have to precisely follow the photo rules and associate each photo with the correct person on their application.  


The applicants should not forget to save their confirmation number as it is only the way to check their status.


They can check their DV results by entering their confirmation number at www.dvlottery.state.govt on or after May 2, 2017.
