EC sends a team to investigate UML’s complaint on Dolakha polls

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Election Commission has appointed an investigation team led by Joint Secretary Yagya Prasad Bhattarai to investigate the alleged vote rigging incidents in Dolakha. The team includes Guru Wagle and Mohan Raj Joshi as its members.

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: The Election Commission has appointed an investigation team led by Joint Secretary Yagya Prasad Bhattarai to investigate the alleged vote rigging incidents in Dolakha. The team includes Guru Wagle and Mohan Raj Joshi as its members.


The UML had earlier filed a complaint demanding re-polling in five places in the district. Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Thapaliya informed Republica that a team has been sent to Dolakha to investigate the complaint. "We will come to a decision after the team returns with the report by this afternoon," Thapaliya told Republica.

The team has started discussions with stakeholders concerned since Wednesday morning.
