Educational institutions reopening from today

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: The educational institutions and nighttime businesses such as hotels and restaurants closed in the wake of third wave of COVID-19 are reopening from Sunday. However, strict implementation of health and safety protocol is imperative.

KATHMANDU, Feb 13: The educational institutions and nighttime businesses such as hotels and restaurants closed in the wake of third wave of COVID-19 are reopening from Sunday. However, strict implementation of health and safety protocol is imperative. 


As per decision of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Coordination Center (CCMC), universities, schools, tuition centers, training and other educational activities, dance bar, dohori restaurants, lounge, pub, cinema hall, health club, gymnasium, swimming pool, futsal, will be allowed to open till 10:00 PM. The CCMC has, however, made the safety protocol mandatory.

Similarly, the CCMC had recommended the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to make necessary arrangements to run regular classes in schools for students above 12 year and alternate classes for those under 12 year. 


Similarly, only 50 percent of spectators are allowed in stadiums to maintain proper physical distance to avoid infection of the COVID-19.
