KATHMANDU, Aug 6: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that continuous efforts are on to improve the situation for Nepalis in Lebanon. In a press release issued on Monday, the ministry assured that Nepalis in Lebanon are safe and emphasized that ongoing efforts are being made to support them.
“Regarding the recent political developments in Lebanon, Nepal government is fully aware of ensuring the safety and well-being of all Nepalis staying in Lebanon,” the press release says, “So far, Nepalis staying there are safe and continuous efforts are being made for their comfort.”

The ministry has also requested Nepalis living in Lebanon to contact the embassy in case they need any help. They can contact the second secretary of the embassy, Deepak Ghimire, at 201097772348, in Cairo, and the Section Officer at the Ministry, Shri Krishna Silwal, at 9849179520.
The embassy has also opened a form to update the list of Nepalis in Lebanon. The ministry also asked the Nepalis living in Lebanon to submit their details by visiting the website of the embassy.
Various countries have issued notices to their citizens in Lebanon to leave the country. Due to the growing tension in the Middle East, America, Australia, France, Canada, South Korea, Japan, etc. have issued notices to leave Lebanon as soon as possible.
