CHITWAN, June 20: Nepali Congress leader and former Deputy Prime Minister, Bhimalendra Nidhi, said the local poll date for Province no 2 was postponed in agreement with Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.
Speaking to journalists this morning, Nidhi disclosed that the RJP Nepal had asked for postponing the elections in Province no 2 and 5, but the government agreed for Province no 2 only due to legal hurdles.
With a new deal, NCP and RJPN set to sweep upper house poll

Claiming that Congress will emerge victorious in second and third round of local polls, the former minister said the process for the June 28 polls has already commenced.
On a different note, Nidhi said the Supreme Court (SC) should not block the re-voting in Bharatpur Metropolis – 19. He added that SC cannot go against the decision of Election Commission (EC) – a constitutional body – to hold a revote.
He urged the party cadres to be ready for the election as the revote in ward no 19 can take place anytime after the SC's decision. RSS
