KATHMANDU, Dec 16: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced that electricity supply will be disrupted at various places in Kathmandu today morning.
According to the NEA, the power supply will be halted in order to upgrade the new 45 MVA capacity transformer at its substation in Teku.

The areas that will be affected include the Department of Health Services, Bhimsensthan, Ramghat, Maru Hiti, Dhokatole, Chhetrapati Chowk, Dhalko, Bramha tole, Jaisedewal Chowk. The NEA added that Jyabhal, Chikumangal, Jhochhe, Ombhal, Bhotebhal, Yangal, Lagan, Maha Bouddha, Bhotahiti, Asan, Bangemudha, Indrachowk, Sundhara, Central Jail, Dasharath Stadium, New Road, Basantpur Durbar Square, Ravibhavan, Solti mode, Sunargaon, Army Hospital, Nakhkhu Chowk, Bagdol, Dhobidhara, Malpokhari, Dhobighat and other nearby areas will also experience electricity supply disruption.
Issuing a notice on Friday, the NEA informed that the electricity supply will be shut down from 9AM to 1PM on Saturday. The NEA also apologized for the inconvenience caused to the customers.
