KATHMANDU, August 1: Employees of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development have continued their protest today.


Ram Nath Adhikari who took charge as the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development after the formation of the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML government demanded some more time to resolve the problem. However, the employees resumed their protest on Wednesday.

The employees stated they resumed their protest as the higher authorities didn’t pay attention to their demands. 


Employees who have not been promoted after their adjustment have staged a sit-in at the ministry's entrance. The employees have been protesting demanding that the permanent posts of 328 people be maintained and any vacant positions be filled on a regular basis.
