RUPANDEHI, Aug 14: A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Butwal on Monday arrested a mechanical engineer at the Department of Transportation Management (DTM), Lumbini while taking bribe.

Engineer Saroj Kumar Sah was caught red-handed while taking Rs 20,000 bribe from a service seeker, informed Dinesh Kumar Acharya, chief of CIAA, Butwal. The anti-graft body arrested Sah after receiving a tip-off that he is taking bribe from a service seeker for the registration of new vehicle.
CIAA has begun investigation to find out more on the case. Service seekers often complain of the compulsion to provide bribe for the registration of new vehicles.
