EPL 2021: Kathmandu Kings XI playing against Lalitpur Patriots

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: The Kathmandu Kings XI are playing against Lalitpur Patriots in the first match of the Everest Premier League 2021. The match is currently underway at the Tribhuwan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: The Kathmandu Kings XI are playing against Lalitpur Patriots in the first match of the Everest Premier League 2021. The match is currently underway at the Tribhuwan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.


Kathmandu Kings XI decided to field first after winning the toss earlier. The Lalitpur Patriots managed to score 157 runs, losing 8 wickets. Pawan Sarraf scored 61 runs in 44 balls for Lalitpur Patriots.

Sandeep Lamichanne is leading the Kathmandu Kings XI as the captain alongside former Pakistani cricket captain and all-rounder, striking batsman, Shahid Afridi. Likewise the Lalitpur Patriots have players like Oshada Fernando, Gyandendra Malla and Yogendra Singh Karki


The Kathmandu Kings XI are currently batting. 


The games will advance from single round matches to qualifiers and then to the finals. The winning team of the competition will bag a cash prize of Rs 5 million and the league trophy. 


Teams like Lalitpur Patriots, Bhairahawa Gladiators, Biratnagar Warriors, Kathmandu Kings XI, Chitwan Tigers and Pokhara Rhinos are competing in the Everest Premier League 2021.
