Experiences of seniors will be heeded, says newly-elected Manang MP Gauchan

POKHARA, Nov 21: Yogesh Gauchan, the Nepali Congress candidate elected to the House of Representatives from Mustang, has said that he will speed up the politics of the future by promoting the new generation.

POKHARA, Nov 21: Yogesh Gauchan, the Nepali Congress candidate elected to the House of Representatives from Mustang, has said that he will speed up the politics of the future by promoting the new generation.


He said that he will move forward by adjusting the experience of seniors during his tenure. Gauchan opened the account for the party after winning the election on behalf of NC.

Similarly, Gauchan said that he will work based on the demand of the residents of Mustang by sitting with the people. “We will work based on the demand of the people. It has not been announced to do this right now. However, the demand of the district residents should also be looked into,” he said, “As it is a Himalayan district, a lot of work needs to be done.”


The 29-year-old Gauchan of NC was elected as a member to the House of Representatives from Mustang. He got 3,992 votes out of the 7,230 votes cast. According to the results of the counting of votes on Monday, he defeated the 69-year-old outgoing member of the House of Representatives of UML, Prem Prasad Tulachan, by 914 votes.
