KATHMANDU, Dec 11: The Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal has said it suffered a consequence of lack of appropriate coordination among the federal, province and local governments.

"Confusions prevail in the payment issues for development projects such as roadways, buildings and bridges implemented following the agreement with the federal government. The federal and province governments point each other for payment which has hit contractors."

It further said that it was solely blamed for delayed projects, expressing concern over it. The FCAN brought its concern to public through a press statement today.

Confusion prevailed even in which of the two governments - the federal or province - will own up bank securities issued by contractors, it added, demanding the federal government to take initiation to address the issue and make arrangements for paying the completed projects from the center until province government became able for the same.

The FCAN has said it has over 15,000 members across the nation.
