FSFN demands constitution amendment in between two-round elections

KATHMANDU, May 3: The Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal has demanded that the constitution be amended before moving ahead with the second-round of local-level election process. 


At a news conference organized by the party at its office in Tinkune, on Wednesday, Chairman Yadav said that the Forum is participating in the first round of elections as the government has already committed to amending the constitution in between the two rounds of elections.

Chairman Yadav said, "The party will not give up the issues raised by it until all nationalities are ensured with equality and social justice". The party is determined that there will be relevance of Madhesi Morcha in days ahead, he while refuting the statement of some political parties saying the relevance of the Madhesi Morcha has ended. 


He also objected the act of some parties of supporting the government without holding meeting of Madhesi Morcha. Chairman Yadav claimed that the impeachment motion filed against the Chief Justice was an attack on democracy and judicial independence. RSS
