FWEAN to organize int'l women's trade expo in Kathmandu from August 18 to 22

KATHMANDU, May 26:  Federation of Women Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) has announced the sixth edition of International Women's Trade Expo in Kathmandu from August 18 to 22.

KATHMANDU, May 26:  Federation of Women Entrepreneurs' Associations of Nepal (FWEAN) has announced the sixth edition of International Women's Trade Expo in Kathmandu from August 18 to 22. 


A delegation of FWEAN held meetings with Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply Dilendra Prasad Badu, Commerce Secretary Dr Ganesh Prasad Pandey and Industry Secretary Arjun Prasad Pokharel at their offices in Singha Durbar on Wednesday to discuss ways to make the trade expo more effective and well-managed.

The delegation included FWEAN President Niru Rayamajhi Khatri, Senior Vice President Shova Gyawali, General Secretary Maha Laxmi Shrestha, Secretary Sabita Subedi and Executive Director Suyasha Sthapit.


"We informed our plan to organize the international trade expo during our meetings. Much of our discussion was focused on ways to ensure coordination with the ministry for its effective management. We also sought cooperation and goodwill from the government to successfully organize the trade expo," said Senior Vice President Gyawali, who is also coordinator of the Trade Expo.


FWEAN President Niru Rayamajhi Khatri had apprised Minister Badu of the plans and preparations made so far to organize the trade expo. The FWEAN delegation had held a meeting with Minister Badu and secretaries duos Dr Pandey and Pokharel at their respective offices in Singha Durbar.
