FieldSight bags first prize in disaster tech innovation competition

KATHMANDU, July 5: A humanitarian digital platform called FieldSight, developed and piloted in Nepal by the United Nations Office for Project Support (UNOPS) has won the first prize of $100,000 in the Disaster Tech Innovation Competition organized by Prudence Foundation and AVPN in Singapore on  June 27.

A digital platform developed by Nepali youth won the competition beating 60 participants globally.


FieldSight was developed for remote project supervision and monitoring in Nepal with technical support from a local web development company called Naxa and has now been used in 15 countries to monitor more than 60,000 houses, WASH sites, schools, police stations, and other infrastructures.
