KATHMANDU, Oct 11: Finance Minister Dr Prakash Saran Mahat held a meeting with Regional Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for Asia and the Pacific Riccardo Puliti in Marrakesh, Morocco, during the sidelines of the annual meeting of the World Bank.
On that occasion, matters relating to increasing private investment and external capital mobilization for the economic development of Nepal were discussed, according to the Ministry of Finance.

During the meeting, Finance Minister Dr Mahat said that there are plenty of opportunities to invest in information and communication, agro business, tourism and other sectors in Nepal and said that investment based on local currency should be mobilized effectively.
Appreciating the efforts made by the government of Nepal to create an investment-friendly environment, IFC Vice President Puliti expressed commitment to provide all possible support for the socio-economic development endeavors of Nepal.
