Finance Minister Sharma urges youths to unveil plan to employ 1.5 million youths in production sector

KATHMANDU, August 29: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has urged youths to move ahead with a plan to employ 1.5 million youths in the country.


Addressing a virtual national gathering organized by the Young Communist League Nepal on Saturday, Minister Sharma urged the youths to organize and mobilize themselves to build a socialist economy. Stating that it is not possible to go for the socialist economy as mentioned in the constitution unless youths take part in the production campaign, Minister Sharma stressed on the need to organize 1.5 million youths of the country and provide them employment in the production sector.

Minister Sharma also urged youths to take the lead on the path of building a self-reliant economy by fighting against the cultural differences that exist in the society. Stating that the role of the youth would be important to do away with corruption and build a culture of virtue, he suggested that a program be introduced to move forward in that direction.
