Finance ministry requests suggestions from other ministries for upcoming budget

KATHMANDU, April 9: The government is currently preparing the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080/81. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance has asked for open suggestions on matters related to the budget.

KATHMANDU, April 9: The government is currently preparing the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2080/81. At the same time, the Ministry of Finance has asked for open suggestions on matters related to the budget.


The ministry has asked for the stakeholders to give their suggestions by April 28.

Organizations, intellectuals, experts, political parties, businessmen, philanthropists, professionals, employees, media workers and the general public can send their suggestions related to the budget.


The finance ministry has requested budgets and programs from the line ministries at this time.


Accordingly, the ministries are working on the formulation of a new budget. The finance ministry is also working by forming a committee for budget formulation.


The National Natural Resources and Finance Commission is providing the fiscal transfer formulas to the government.


According to the constitution of Nepal, the federal government must submit the budget to parliament on May 29. Next year, the government is making a budget within the limit of 1.688 trillion. This is less than the budget of the current fiscal year 2079/80.
