BHAKTAPUR, Dec 14: Properties worth as much as Rs 2.2 million were damaged in the fire occurred at two separate places in the district Friday.
The fire that broke out with short circuit engulfed a house belonging to Ramesh Nath Dhungel at Katunje of Suryabinayak municipality. It destroyed the properties of Rs 2.1 million. All assets including computer, furniture and clothes turned into ashes, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rewati Raman Pokhrel.

The fire was brought under control in three hours with the joint effort of police, locals and two ambulances.
Similarly, fire, broken out at the house belonging to Chandrika Budhathoki of Duwakot Phoksintar from Changunarayan municipality-2, destroyed the properties of Rs 100 thousand, added DSP Pokhrel. RSS
