First Nepal Paragliding World Cup-2018 to be held on Nov 1-4

SYANGJA, Oct 13: The First Nepal Paragliding Accuracy World Cup-2018 is all set to be organized in the open grassy land of Swarek Mahapur and Daunwafant of Syangja.

SYANGJA, Oct 13: The First Nepal Paragliding Accuracy World Cup-2018 is all set to be organized in the open grassy land of Swarek Mahapur and Daunwafant of Syangja.


Jointly planned by Nepal Paragliding Association and Nepal Air Sports Association, the event will be held on November-1-4 under the coordination of District Coordination Committee, Syangja.

The completion is being organized with a view to increasing the number of paragliders in the Nepal Tourism Year 2020, said Shailendra Rawat, General Secretary of Nepal Paragliding Hand-gliding Association.  


"We are organizing a historic air sports event in hopes of introducing Nepali Air Sports to the world. The competition will also help introduce Nepali paragliders in the international arena," claimed Rawat, who is also the coordinator of the contest.


The paragliders will be contesting under the four themes for four trophies and 42 medals.


It is estimated that a total of 16 million rupees will be spent in the event.
