KATHMANDU, July 27: Five members of a family have tested positive for novel coronavirus in the capital.
Their swab samples tested at the Teku-based Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital confirmed the infection of COVID-19.

It is learnt that they all recently entered the Valley from the Indian state of Bihar.
According to the hospital administration, a female who had returned from India was diagnosed with this viral infection earlier on Thursday. Four other members of the family who were tested for COVID-19 in the course of contact tracing were found infected, the hospital said. A couple, their son and daughter and a grandchild tested positive, a medical staff of the hospital informed Republica.
They live in the Mahabauddha area in Kathmandu, according to Mahendra Dhwoj Adhikari, public health officer at the Surveillance Department at the National Epidemiology and Disease Control Division. “We are tracing the contacts who they had been in touch with,” Adhikari added.
