FM Gyawali flying Delhi tomorrow

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is visiting India on Thursday to take part in Joint Commission (JC) Meeting between India and Nepal.

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali is visiting India on Thursday to take part in Joint Commission (JC) Meeting between India and Nepal.


Gyawali will be representing Nepal at the 6th Joint Commission Meeting between the two neighboring countries.

The JC is the highest mechanism between the two countries to discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relations between Nepal and India.


In the meeting, the two countries are scheduled to hold discussions on various issues including bilateral trade, energy, border disputes, infrastructure, agriculture, Investment, tourism, connectivity and COVID-19 response.


FM Gyawali is also scheduled to hold meetings with some high-level political leaders during his stay in New Delhi. Nepali delegations will fly back to Nepal on January 16.


This is the first time FM Gyawali is visiting India after Nepal introduced a new political map that includes Kalapani, Lipu Lekh, and Limpiyadhura claimed by both Nepal and India.
