KATHMANDU, Nov 9: Minister for Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that Nepal is committed to its long-held 'One-China' policy.

“Nepal government has no confusion over One-China policy. Nepal has been reiterating this time and again. I think both Nepal and China are clear about the issue,” said Minister Mahat.

Talking to a group of journalists at his office Tuesday, Minister Mahat claimed that China had not raised any questions over Nepal's commitment to 'One-China' policy. The minister was responding to news reports published in Republica daily in its Tuesday edition which stated that the northern neighbor had questioned Nepal's commitment to One-China policy, considering the activities of the new government and the ruling party leaders.
