KATHMANDU, Aug 29: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has called for collaboration between the World Bank and the private sector in tourism, agriculture, education, health and infrastructure development sectors.
FNCCI president Bhawani Rana, during her meeting with the World Bank's Country Manager in Nepal, Faris Hadad-Zervos here on Tuesday, urged the WB to extend cooperation in the potential sectors in Nepal.

President Rana also stressed on the need to move ahead as per the concept of public-private dialogue as well as on the basis of public-private partnership in the areas of connectivity, banking, infrastructure development and information technology, among others, FNCCI stated in a press note.
According to FNCCI, she also stated that the World Bank could play an important role in creating an investment-friendly and tax-friendly environment, pointing out the need for enhanced collaboration between FNCCI and the World Bank.
On the occasion, the World Bank's Country Manager for Nepal assured of working together with the private sector in the development initiatives of Nepal. He expressed the belief that the collaboration could be easier as the areas of cooperation of the World Bank and the aspirations of the private sector were similar. RSS
