KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Prakash Saud is leaving for Doha on Saturday, leading a Nepali delegation to Doha Forum 2023, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Doha Forum is being held in Doha, Qatar from December 10 to 11.
Doha Forum is a platform of dialogue among leaders and government officials, heads of multilateral organizations, private sector executives, think tanks and opinion makers.
Minister Saud leaving for India to attend Raisina Dialogue
It is said that contemporary global and regional issues would be discussed during the Forum.
Minister Saud is scheduled to meet high-level dignitaries of Qatar and will have bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Forum with his counterparts, the ministry shared.
After attending the Forum, Minister Saud will leave for Geneva on December 12 to attend “Human Rights 75”, a high-level event to commemorate the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The ministry shared that Minister Saud will address the Leaders’ Segment and High-level Pledging Event.
Likewise, Minister Saud will leave for Yerevan, Armenia on December 13 to attend Landlocked Developing Countries’ Ministerial Meeting being held from December 14 – 15.
The ministry stated that Saud will address the Ministerial Meeting and will hold bilateral meetings with high-level dignitaries in the margin of the meeting. The LLDCs ministerial meeting is being organized jointly by the Government of Armenia and UN-OHRLLS as a preparatory process of the Third United Nations Conference on LLDCs.
The foreign minister will return to Kathmandu on December 16 upon completion of high-level engagements in Doha, Geneva and Yerevan.
