Talking to a group of journalists on contemporary issues in Bhaktapur on Wednesday, Chairman Bijukchhe said that ruling party leaders were heavily influenced by foreign powers and that their influence had further increased in Nepal in recent years. He said that Koirala family is traditionally linked with India, while Deuba is often linked with the western powers in Nepal's political circle.

Referring to the recent verdict of the Supreme Court, Chairman Bijukchhe argued that the country had been experiencing judicial supremacy rather than the parliamentary supremacy. He also pointed out the need of a communist party that works for overall change in the country as the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (NCP) saw a split earlier this year.
