KATHMANDU, April 22: The CPN-UML has honored former president Bidya Devi Bhandari with 'Ganatantra Gaurav' award.
Bhandari was honored at a special ceremony organized by the CPN-UML on Monday at Godawari in Lalitpur on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the party.

Prime minister and chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, former prime minister and president of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and former prime minister and chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli, honored Bhandari.
Bhandari is also the first woman president of Nepal.
