Forty police personnel recommended for promotion

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Nepal Police has recommended 14 Superintendent of Police (SP) to the post of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and 26 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to the post of SP.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: Nepal Police has recommended 14 Superintendent of Police (SP) to the post of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and 26 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to the post of SP. 


The promotion committee under the civil police group of Nepal Police on Saturday decided to make the recommendation as per Nepal Police Regulations, 2071, according to the committee Secretary AIG Thule Rai.

Accordingly, those recommended for the post of SSP are Sandip Bhandari, Tek Prasad Rai, Umesh Raj Joshi, Shyam Lal Gyawali, Ganesh Regmi, Ram Dutta Joshi, Dipak Thapa, Meera Chaudhary, Buddhi Raj Gurung, Kiran Bajracharya, Posh Raj Pokharel, Tek Bahadur Tamang, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar and Bhim Dhakal. 


Likewise, those recommended to the post of SP from DSP are Ramesh Kumar Basnet, Hira Bahadur Pandey, Shyam Krishna Adhikari, Nanti Raj Gurung, Rabindra Regmi, Govinda Adhikari, Krishna Prasain, Dr Mekha Bahadur Khatri, Binod Silwal, Bhim Bahadur Dahal, Ramesh Thapa, Prakash Ranabhat, Bimal Raj Kandel, Kamal Thapa, Janardan GC, Krishna Prasad Koirala, Santosh Khadka, Dan Bahadur Malla, Ranju Sigdel, Anupam Shumsher JB Rana, Shyam Kumar Mahato, Krishna Prasad Pangeni, Hem Kumar Thapa, Ajaya KC, Nawaraj Adhikari and Bir Bahadur Budhamagar. 


The promotion will mature following a home minister-level decision after a week-long period for any complaints against the promotion, according to Nepal Police spokesperson Uttam Raj Subedi.
