KATHMANDU, May 3: Four parliamentary committees are holding a meeting today.
Accordingly, a meeting of the Federalism Strengthening and National Concern Committee will be held at 11AM. The meeting will be focusing on actions taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs concerning disaster risk reduction, response, and recovery. The agenda includes discussions on future disaster risk reduction plans, national disaster risk management, and the role of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority.
Meeting of three parliamentary committees today
The Women and Social Affairs Committee will gather at 11 AM to deliberate on Nepal's laws pertaining to senior citizens, state provisions for the elderly, the growing aging population, and the status of old age homes and senior citizens service and meeting center.
The Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee will hold a session to engage in a pre-budget discussion for the upcoming fiscal year 2024/25 at 1 PM.
Furthermore, the State Affairs and Governance Committee will convene at 2 PM to address matters related to committee monitoring.
