BANKE, Jan 16: At least four people were injured when a passenger bus en route to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj met with an accident this morning. The bus (Bhe 1 Kha 4128) met with an accident at Devchuli-14, Daldale in Nawalparasi East at around 5 AM today.
Dev Bahadur Paudel, spokesperson of District Police Office, Nawalparasi East, said all the injured are currently undergoing treatment in Bharatpur, Chitawan.
Five killed, 25 injured in bus accident
He said that 25-year-old Shani Pandey of Mahottari Jaleshwar-1, 30-year-old Kritika Shahi of Bidur-9, Nuwakot, 23-year-old Anita Nepali of Chandannath-9, Jumla and 32-year-old Sudip KC of Barbardiya-5, Bardiya are among those injured in accident.
Pandey is hurt on his left hand while Shahi has received injury on his head. There were 40 passengers onboard the bus.
