KATHMANDU, Feb 8: A 4-year-old girl studying in grade 1 was raped in her school in Gorkha. Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy of the same school on the charge of raping the girl in a toilet of the school.
Gorkha Police is investigating the incident in which the boy is said to have raped the girl in the toilet after the school was over. The incident took place on February 3. The girl’s mother lodged the First Information Report (FIR) at the District Police Office, Gorkha on February 4.

“We found out about the incident after the girl's mother called,” the school principal told Republica. The girl's mother has told the police that she came to know about the incident due to her health condition. The girl’s medical examination was carried out at Gorkha Hospital and her condition is now normal, the police said quoting a doctor.
SP Surendra Gurung, chief of the District Police Office, Gorkha said that the police is investigating the rape case. “The investigation is underway,” he said, adding that the incident is sensitive as both the victim and the perpetrator are minors.
