Furniture handover to Sansaridevi Basic School

The school provides free education to 181 students, studying up to grade seven. Most of the students come from underprivileged Dalit families living in Jorsalla village. It runs through financial support generated at the local level.

REPUBLICA, KAVRE

Mountain People, Nepal handed over 20 sets of desk and bench to Sansaridevi Basic School based in Jorsalla village of Namobuddha Municipality, on Saturday.

Shishir Rana, director of Mountain People, handed over the furniture to Kamal Chimauria, principal of the school.

"We are thankful for this support that enables us to provide education to the children coming from poor families," Chimauria said.

The school provides free education to 181 students, studying up to grade seven. Most of the students come from underprivileged Dalit families living in Jorsalla village. It runs through financial support generated at the local level.

"This support was possible through individual donations coming from people living in different parts of the world," Rana said.

Mountain People is an organization involved in health, hygiene and education projects in rural parts of Nepal.
