Gagan Phuyal, a former contestant of ‘Nepali Tara season 3’ and current ‘Nepal Idol’ released his debut single ‘Batas Sangai’ on Youtube, on Sunday.
According to a press statement released by the singer, Kalyan Singh composed the music and Nimukha Yuvraj penned the song. The song will later be a part of Gagan’s debut album ‘Pragati- The Change’.
Gagan’s journey of ‘Nepali Tara’ ended after he was selected for the Top 20, while his success in 'Nepali Idol' was limited to the theatre round.
The press statement quoted him as saying, “Elimination is a part of reality TV shows. And even though I did not make it all the way to the top in those shows, I am going to continue working in the field with my passion and chase my dream of being a good singer.”
Gagan, who has also acted in the music video, attributes his success to his music teacher Bhanubhakta Dhakal. He is currently working in other songs for his upcoming album.
