While fans of Anmol KC have been eagerly waiting for 'Gajalu,' many are also excited to see former Miss Nepal Shristi Shrestha's silver screen debut in the film, too.

Directed by Hemraj BC who has delivered films like 'Hostel,' 'Jerryy,' and 'Sambodhan,' among others, 'Gajalu' also features Gauri Malla, Gaurav Pahari, Menuka Pradhan, and Salon Basnet.

The film is basically a love story, and revolves around the story of Sujata Shakya (Shristi), an ex Kumari, who doesn't want her life to be defined by her 'Goddess' status.

With no support from her 'conservative' family, she leaves home in order to explore her life and meets Anmol KC, an aspiring filmmaker. He introduces her to a different life. Eventually they fall in love, but the road ahead isn't easy as Anmol's mother (Gauri Malla) disapproves of their relationship thanks to the age-old belief that marrying a Kumari is ominous, and Sujata's struggle in finding her identity continues.

'Gajalu' is releasing all over Nepal on Friday, June 10.
