Gandaki gets an annual budget of Rs 30.03 billion for 2021/22, Rs 4 billion less than current FY

KATHMANDU, June 15: Gandaki Province has announced a budget of Rs 30.03 billion for 2021/22, which is around Rs 4 billion less than the budget of the current fiscal year.

KATHMANDU, June 15: Gandaki Province has announced a budget of Rs 30.03 billion for 2021/22, which is around Rs 4 billion less than the budget of the current fiscal year. Out of the total amount, Rs 13.06 billion (43.5 percent) has been allocated for recurrent expenses, Rs 16.73 (55.7 percent) for capital expenditure and the remaining Rs 240 million for financial management.

Of the earmarked amount, the province will be receiving Rs 7.42 billion as fiscal equalization grant, Rs 4.18 billion as conditional grant, Rs 873.6 million as complementary and Rs 549 million as special grant from the federal government. Of the shortfall, the provincial government has targeted to mobilize Rs 2.10 billion from its unspent reserve and Rs 1 billion each from internal borrowing and loans from the central government.
