KATHMANDU, June 4: Free training has been provided through the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) to youths who have served as temporary police recruits in the local level election 2022.
Pramod Bhakta Acharya , Director of the Gandaki Provincial Office, Pokhara, said that the training was provided with the objective of making youths self-employed. He said, "We have conducted the training as per the demand with the objective of facilitating skill-based training and networking in the field of employment and self-employment.”
Temporary police selected in 74 districts
According to him, the Gandaki Provincial Office, Pokhara, in collaboration with the District Administration and District Police Office, Kaski, has started various short-term trainings as per the immediate market demand.
Acharya said that training for junior building electrician, plumber and kitchen assistant (cook) has been conducted for the temporary police recruits while the rest of the training will be conducted in the coming days. A training course of 140 hours (27 working days) will be prepared and conducted on the basis of training requirements.
Acharya also expressed gratitude to the government for connecting the temporary police recruits to the productive sector through skill-based training in the budget speech of fiscal year 2022/23.
