KATHMANDU, Aug 4: A 25-year-old girl named Priyanka Shrestha was arrested in Bara with 8.5 kg of marijuana. Shrestha, a resident of Madhuwan Municipality-7 in Bardiya, was taken into custody on Sunday morning by a team from the Pathlaiya Bara Police Station.

According to DSP Prakash Sapkota, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Bara, Shrestha was apprehended in the Adhabhar forest area of Simra Sub-Metropolitan City-1, Jitpur. An investigation is underway into the drug-related charges against her.
