KATHMANDU: The price of gold dropped by Rs 1,300 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday.


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of fine gold is now set at Rs 146,200 per tola, while standard gold is priced at Rs 145,500 per tola. This decline follows a record high for fine gold, which was Rs 149,800 per tola on Wednesday.

In addition, the price of silver is Rs 1,810 per tola today, down from Rs 1,830 per tola on Friday and Rs 1,895 per tola last Wednesday.


Internationally, gold prices have decreased compared to the end of last week, trading at $2,400.78 per ounce today, down from $2,425.05 per ounce last Friday. Over the past 30 days, gold prices have increased by $80.82 per ounce. Silver is trading at $29.21 per ounce, a decrease from $29.57 per ounce last Friday.
