Gold price up by Rs 700 per tola today

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Gold prices have risen by Rs 700 per tola in the domestic market today.


According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, fine gold is priced at Rs 148,800 per tola. This is up from Rs 148,100 per tola yesterday, following a previous increase of Rs 1,500 per tola.

In contrast, the price of silver has decreased by Rs 10 per tola, with today’s trading price at Rs 1,720 per tola. This is down from Rs 1,730 per tola on Friday.


Internationally, the price of gold has increased as well. Gold traded at $2,422.41 per ounce on Friday and has risen to $2,431.10 per ounce by Sunday. Silver is priced at $27.46 per ounce, down from $27.65 on Friday.
