KATHMANDU, March 22: Government has warned of taking stricter action against if anyone is found to have been involved in black marketing and hoarding.
Black marketers will be fined Rs 300,00 or sent to prison for five years or both, according to the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Lekhraj Bhatta.
Amid widespread public complaints on hoardings, Minister Bhatta assured of bringing the hoarders to book. “We won’t make any compromise in taking necessary action. Be assured.”

He further urged the public to register complaints in the concerned government agencies.
Addressing an interaction program in the capital on Sunday, he stressed for the need of solidarity among the people of all corners to defend coronavirus.

On the occasion, Bhatta also informed that the government is taking diplomatic steps to control cross border movement along the Nepal-India border. “We are holding diplomatic talks with India in this connection.”
He also took time to share that the government is making preparations to face the worst case scenario.
