Govt approval needed to publish calendar

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee has urged all concerned sides to compulsorily take approval for the publication of calendar.

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee has urged all concerned sides to compulsorily take approval for the publication of calendar.


The committee made such an appeal to all stakeholders in line with the Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee Formation Order, 2077 BS and the rules under the order. 


Issuing a press statement on Monday, the committee’s Executive Director Surya Prasad Dhungel urged all to take such approval from the committee for the publishing all sorts of calendars.

The committee has stated that those from out of the Kathmandu Valley can lodge their request online and the approval would be given through the same way.


The committee warned that those who publish calendars without prior approval would be booked. For this purpose, a monitoring committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the chief of the Cultural Division of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, which includes representatives from the Ministry of Home as well. 


The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has also prepared monitoring directives to this end.
