Govt calls one and all to engage in rescue and relief operation (with video)

KATHMANDU, July 14: Government has urged all concerned departments and bureau to engage in rescue and relief operation in the flood and landslide-hit areas across the country.

KATHMANDU, July 14: Government has urged all concerned departments and bureau to engage in rescue and relief operation in the floods and landslides-hit areas across the country.


A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to make necessary arrangements to expedite rescue and relief operations in the floods and landslides-hit districts. Similarly, the meeting has decided to make the necessary arrangements to prevent the loss of additional lives and property.

The meeting has directed the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) to coordinate with concerned departments, local and state governments for the rescue operation, informed Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota and added that the government will bear all the expenses of the injured.


Likewise, the government has decided to start relocating the victims once the MoHA collects all the necessary data from all concerned authorities. The cabinet also urged the related departments to restore all necessary services at the earliest in the affected areas. Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives due to the natural disaster, the government has expressed condolences to the bereaved family and has wished the speedy recovery of the injured.
