Govt committed to create conducive environment to attract foreign investment, technology: Minister Rijal

NAWALPARASI, April 27: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ramesh Rijal, said the government is committed to creating an atmosphere that attracts foreign investment and technology.


At a programme organized here to launch the production of company run by the Golchha Group in collaboration of Samsung Company of Korea in Nawalparasi Purba on Wednesday, Minister Rijal said, "Korea has been extending support to Nepal ranging from providing jobs to Nepali youths to developing innovative technology. The production of television with Korean technology in Nepal will help create jobs and reduce trade loss, he believed.

Minister Rijal further said, "Government is committed to making policy reforms needed to attract foreign technology."


The Golchha Group has begun producing and selling the television with the collaboration of Samsung Company of Korea from Ramgram Municipality-11 of Nawalparasi.


Also participating in the programme presided over by Chairman of the Group, Sekhar Golchha, were Korean Ambassador to Nepal, Park Chong-suk; Samsung CEO of SouthEast Asia, JB Park; Mayor of Ramgram Municipality, Dhanapat Yadav and others.
