Govt directs hospitals to provide vaccination certificates free of cost

KATHMANDU, August 1: The government has directed the hospitals providing vaccination certificates to provide the certificates without charging any cost.


Issuing a press statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) directed the hospitals to issue vaccination certificates free of cost.

The health ministry’s direction came in the wake of complaints from the general public that some hospitals are charging customers for vaccination certificates.


The health ministry has directed Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital at Teku, Civil Hospital at Minbhawan, Patan Hospital at Lagankhel and Armed Police Hospital at Balambu not to charge money to the people seeking vaccination certificates.


The government has been providing vaccination certificates to those who require the document to travel abroad.
