KATHMANDU, April 9: The government has enforced one window policy in import and export of food, targeting to end hassles to the traders of edibles in the process of receiving the license.

According to the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC) -- the main authority to issue permits for the food traders in the country--, the system interconnects the Department with number of government offices including the Department of Customs, Plant Quarantine and Pesticide Management Center and Department of Livestock Services, among others.
