Govt extends thanks to all those working on Nepal's behalf in Ncell tax scam

KATHMANDU, June 14: A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to extend thanks to all those who made efforts from the Nepal side in a case filed at the international commission regarding Ncell case.

KATHMANDU, June 14: A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday decided to extend thanks to all those who made efforts from the Nepal side in a case filed at the international commission regarding Ncell case. 


The cabinet meeting held at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) decided to extend thanks to all those, including lawyers who stood on behalf of Nepal in the case.

The positive verdict has saved billions of Nepali currency, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung. 


"Ncell itself had filed the case at the international court. The verdict of the case came a couple of days ago. Nepal has won the case. Nepal would face a loss amounting to Rs 60-65 billion if the case was negative," Minister Gurung said. 


Saying that winning the case was a merit for the country, Minister Gurung shared the government's decision to extend thanks to all sides, including lawyers lobbying in the case and Ministry of Law personnel for their arduous efforts.
