KATHMANDU, June 23: The government has established a facilitation committee under the leadership of Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Padam Giri, to address the grievances of the protesting staff members of the Federal Parliament.
This morning, a three-member facilitation committee was formed under Minister Giri's coordination during a meeting convened at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar. The committee includes the Secretary of the Ministry of Finance and the Secretary General of the Federal Parliament.

The employees of the Federal Parliament have been protesting due to non-payment for overtime work, which has previously disrupted parliament sessions.
On Sunday morning, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal convened a meeting attended by Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal, former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli, Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun, Law and Justice Minister Padam Giri, Chief Secretary Dr Baikuntha Aryal, and Secretary General of the Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandey. During this meeting, the Facilitation Committee was formed under the leadership of the law minister.
