Previously, during the inauguration of the Pokhara Regional International Airport, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chan Song, claimed that projects under the BRI had already been implemented. Contrary to this, Foreign Minister Saud clarified that no BRI projects have advanced to the implementation stage so far.

Additionally, Foreign Minister Saud announced that the feasibility study for the Kerung-Kathmandu railway and the inter-country power transmission line, both agreed upon during the visit of China's former Foreign Minister Wang Yi in March 2022, are currently being signed.
