KATHMANDU, April 5: Government ministers are now required to present their daily progress reports to the Prime Minister. The decision was reached during Thursday's Council of Ministers meeting, where it was agreed that the ministers would brief the Prime Minister on their daily activities every evening.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal gave this information while addressing a meeting of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee under the National Assembly.

He stated that the ministers would be briefing to the Prime Minister every evening about significant accomplishments and initiatives every day. The PM said that such briefings would enhance awareness and efficiency among ministers and their staff.
"I believe this decision will invigorate all ministries, engaging secretaries and employees alike in our collective efforts," stated the Prime Minister.
Dahal further mentioned the need for thorough scrutiny and determination in administrative matters, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between political leadership and civil servants. He urged both administrative and political entities to work cohesively to address any shortcomings hindering effective governance.
